Illustrator - Lower the Boom

This is the first real work I've ever done in Illustrator, so I'm pretty proud of it. I did the main cabinet and the sound waves in CS2, and then brought the graphic into Photoshop for the text. I also went a little crazy with the radial blur...

The concept comes from a project my girlfriend is working on for the city. It's a college town, so every summer they have a noise-reduction campaign. Last year was "Quiet Nights," this year they're calling it "Lower the Boom." I thought it was a good phrase, so I threw together my own composition just for something to do. I would love to see my work around town, or on the full-length bus ads they have, but she is the one with the job, after all. I should work on that.
